Job Description: This position is designed to give a student the opportunity to work both in preconstruction and project management. The apprenticeship program will give insight into the roles and functions of each department and how they contribute to the successful operation of a commercial general contracting/construction management business. The student apprentice will be given the chance to work in a position that gives experience both before a project begins and during its completion. Greater emphasis being put on the phase that is active during the student’s apprenticeship. Additionally it is important to note, specific tasks occur only during certain phases of a project. As such, an apprentice may only have the opportunity to learn in theory about a certain task or duty.

Program Length: 450 Hours

Total Weekly Hours: Minimum 10

Starting Wage: $10.10

Minimum Age: 16

Minimum Education: Must be enrolled in the Frederick County Public School System
