Job Description: The CNC operator youth apprentice will learn all operations for production machining including, milling, machine setups, tapping, etc. as well as perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard engineering techniques for developing models (including 3D printing) and production documentation. The apprentice will also create and download machine programs; learn and assist in assembly and other assigned secondary operations, machine setups, upkeep maintenance of equipment, in-process inspections, daily routine maintenance, monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of the work environment, and coordinating packaging/shipping of products.
Program Length: 450 Hours
Total Weekly Hours: Minimum 10
Starting Wage: $11.00
Minimum Age: 16
Minimum Education: Must be enrolled in the Frederick County Public School System
